Substrata's new wood iPhone Cases!

With all of the new Apple products hitting the market this week, we here at Substrata have decided to release some new products of our own! Starting Friday the following products will be available at substrata.etsy.com.

New Padauk case - this particular piece of wood is fabulous. While most Padauk has a consistent orange color, this hand picked board has a wide range of contrasting tones.

We have also added two domestic hard woods to our iPhone case lineup: black walnut and maple.

Further, we have created a case that has less detailed curves. We will be selling these cases for about fifteen dollars less then the current generation.

In the past month or so we have gotten a number of requests for different port openings, such as the headphone jack and the dock connector slot. All of our cases will now be available with these ports opened for convenient access (small fee applies).

iPhone Cases from the Earth - Generation One

Substrata's first wood iPhone cases were listed on Etsy.com about one month ago. The first items listed were simple prototypes that we did not think would get much attention. But to our great surprise the blogosphere picked up on our creation within 12 hrs.We never expected the attention that these blogs brought and honestly we were not entirely prepared for it!

Now that things have slowed down we are pushing ahead with our plans to develop a full line of wood apple products - from docks and ear bud holders to fully functional iPhone and iPod cases. We hope to release these within the next month or so. Hopefully the blogs will find these items just as interesting as our first attempts.
